I had owned 3 Kia Sportage SUV’s and opted to try a new vehicle. I had purchased a new Hyundai Kona N. 4 years ago. Recently I had wanted to go back to the Sportage and began looking.around Bangor. I first noticed Bill Dodge Kia in Westbrook for the prices were significantly lower than Bangor. So we drove down. We met Anthony, what an amazing salesman! He shot for exactly what I wanted, from trade value to new vehicle. He did not try to sell me whatever would make him the highest commission! He actually Listened to my wants and my needs. From the moment I arrived he was wonderful. I just picked up and finalized the deal for my new Sportage with everything I was looking for. Chris in finance was great too. I opted to choose an extended warranty for we never know what can happen. Nadia was also great. It was an absolute pleasure working with Anthony, I would not have driven the 2 hour drive back down if he had not have made sure my needs and wants were inpirtant to him as well! In August, 2025,I attempted to purchase a BMW M2 from BMW of Westbrook (Bill Dodge Auto Group). The dealership provided me with a signed build sheet and confirmed the order. I also provided my payment information for the deposit. The next day, I was told that the order could not be processed unless I added a $2,600 option. This requirement was not enforced by BMW’s official configurator or the dealer’s system, and neither the sales representative nor management flagged it when approving the build. When I asked the dealership to honor the agreement or absorb the additional cost, they declined, offering only to cover part of the sales tax. I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Maine Attorney General’s office. The AG noted they could not mediate since the transaction did not complete, but they have forwarded the matter to the FTC for review. While this particular issue no longer appears with the 2026 BMW configurator, my experience with the dealership was disappointing. Even with signed paperwork, written confirmation, and my payment details on file, they would not stand behind the agreement. I believe they engaged in unfair trade practices. I encourage future buyers to proceed cautiously and confirm all build requirements in advance.

The original sale was fine. We have had the vehicle for just over two weeks, dealer plates still on it. The second row window behind the driver spontaneously exploded 5 days ago, glass inside and outside of the vehicle. It was sitting in my driveway between two other cars and we are over 500 ft from the road. We have received the worst service in the last 5 days from top to bottom, and will never purchase another Kia or any vehicle from Bill Dodge in Westbrook Me.

We have been to 3 dealerships in the past but so far this is the best dealership experience we ever had. We are not new in buying cars but I want to say this time we felt we are in control. We never felt we were being pushed around or pressured to get something we don't think we need, this speaks true from the client advisor (Ethan S) to his manager (Kayla) and finance manager (David). My husband and I bought a pre-owned vehicle on 12-29-23. I pulled out of the dealership, onto the main road towards the highway. I made it 1/2 a mile and had to turn back. The headlights were so dim, I was in tears and scared for my safety. I returned to the dealership and explained what was wrong.They said it was a safety issue and they would diagnose the problem on Jan 2. I got a call on Tue that the bulbs had been replaced and I could pick it up. I picked it up around 2:30pm. I made it home and by 5pm realized that the headlights were still not working properly. I called the next day and was told someone would be in touch in 24 hours. I never received a call so I called again Thursday night and was told someone would be in touch in 24 hours. No call on Friday, either. I called again on Saturday and left a voice mail. I called on Monday and left another message. Keep in mind, I can't drive the car after 4pm because the headlights are sooo dim. Theres maybe 3 feet of visibility, its more of a glow than an actual beam. On Friday 12th, the engine light came on and it sounds like my car will explode. Called and left another message on Saturday. On Monday, 15th, I contacted the Brunswick location and they called Westbrook and left a couple messages, no call back. Because it's been 2 weeks of unreturned messages I decided to drive to Westbrook today, the 17th. The engine light is because of a bad catalytic converter and will be replaced on Monday 22nd. No loaner in the meantime because while the car sounds like it will explode, its perfectly safe to drive. I, again, asked about the headlights and was told that they will not be replacing the headlights because it's not a safety issue, it's a convenience issue. Wanting to be able to drive at night is a convenience and they will not be replacing the light assembly. I'm going to start the process of returning the car and looking for a different dealership to purchase from. I was told Bill Dodge stands by their vehicles and will do anything to keep their customers safe but that's not what I've experienced. I'd like to see the owner put his wife and kids in that car and have them drive in the dark, while raining. I bet he'd replace the headlights for them. I guess our safety has a price and $18k isnt enough. Headlights are extra at Bill Dodge. update 1/28/24- after 3 weeks of being unable to drive my car after dark and 2 weeks of our calls and messages being ignored, we have a " solution". We are purchasing the headlight assemblies, out of our pocket, and they agreed to install them. How generous. I have NEVER been so frustrated and pissed off with a car dealership. The nerve to feel like this is resolved to our satisfaction is ballsy and insulting. I'm unsure how a dealership can sell a vehicle with a current Maine inspection sticker without proper headlights but I guess Bill Dodge can. I have emailed Maine's Attorney General, Maine State Police and a couple of our Reps and Congressmen for some clarification. I will update when I have some more information. Edit 2/11/24 to add- On 1/31 I arrived to my appointment and it was discovered that I was sent the wrong headlight assemblies. I was then told that Bill Dodge Auto Group had suddenly decided to order and pay for the correct headlight assemblies, so I could return my purchase and have my money refunded. On 2/6 the new headlight assemblies were installed and they work great. Our salesman, Ken, & Bryan, the finance guy, were great. Joe, the only other employee who would actually interact with us, was wonderful, given the situation. Joe’s bosses were the problem, Joe was unfortunate to be the face of the problem. He had to tell us 2 times that his management refused to pay for the headlights. It wasn’t until I started kicking and screaming online that they were convinced to do the right thing and then, they couldn’t even tell me; they sent Joe! It would have been nice to have management shake my hand and apologize for my hassle but, I guess that’s inconsequential. My headlights work and that’s what matters.

I’ll start by saying that this is the first car I’ve bought in a long time and I understand the business has changed. That said, buying from Bill Dodge far exceeded my expectations. We visited a few dealerships as we were researching vehicles and felt like a burden in the rare occasions anyone even bothered to engage with us. At Bill Dodge in Westbrook they made us feel welcome and seemed genuinely interested in spending time answering questions and talking through options. We were looking for vehicle that’s pretty in-demand, so we weren’t really sure how the process would go, but the salesman was incredibly communicative about the steps as they were happening and in the end got us exactly what we were looking for. Even after we had locked in our deposit, our salesman stayed in touch while we were waiting for the car to arrive. He unfortunately couldn’t be there when we signed all the paperwork but had prepped a colleague to finish the deal who was also great. All in all the process was transparent and for the first time, I left a dealership feeling good! Big thanks to the team at Bill Dodge in Westbrook!

Absolutely amazing service! Eric was by far the most different salesman I have ever meet. I don't mean this in a bad way either! Not a single time did he hound me or try to convince me to look at or buy something that I didn't want. He ensured I was able to get what I wanted! I was looking for a 2019 - 2020 Kia sportage, and at the time, they didn't have any in the Saco facility. Eric drove to Westbrook to pick up the 2019 version and notified me when it was at Saco and told me I can swing in anytime that works for me. I ended up coming down the next day and had a straight forward deal that didn't require much negotiating. My car that I was trading in had a KBB value of roughly $3300 and Scott, the manager (I believe) gave me almost $5100! The other Eric who does the financing stuff, found me an amazing deal to finance right through Kia Motors and I walked out of there with my new vehicle! Awesome job everyone :)

I initially went to Lee in Westbrook to test drive a dodge hornet. While on my test drive, my vet called to let me know that my cat was out of surgery. I hurried back to Lee to return the keys to salesman Dorian Lucca and let him know I needed to run and get my cat and that I would come back afterwards, to which his response was a very steely, "Do you want the car or not?!" I was honestly almost speechless. I mean, granted, I hadn't changed out of my yoga pants or done my makeup or hair that day. 😆 My appearance made no difference to salesman Ian O'Brien or manager David over at Bill Dodge! They made my new buying experience seamless, quick, and most enjoyable. I would recommend them to anybody who is in the market!

Trade in Denali Acadia for a Chevy Tahoe upon leaving with the Tahoe none of the brand new tires were balanced I’ve brought it back three times now and they keep forgetting too balance ALL Tires the second time I brought it back was because they did balance the front two then they rotated an still missed one . Was told it was on the backside of rim it’s not there , Charging pad doesn’t work, No Floor mats would have taken mine, Weather stripping around doors is falling off not Happy this was Saco location now being told I have to go to Westbrook . Hopefully Westbrook can handle rotating and balancing tires because apparently they can take care of the charging pad weatherstripping for the fourth time tires

Really unhappy with the service process in Westbrook. My car was scheduled for service and I dropped it off at the address in the email/the woman told me over the phone. Apparently that wasn’t the right place to drop it off, unbeknownst to me. When I called at 12, assuming my car would be ready, I got transferred 4 times. I was getting upset because I had no idea where my car was and no one had an answer for me. When I finally got a hold of the department that had my car, they told me at noon that my car still wasn’t ready. This was inconvenient for me because I need a ride to go get my car. They also did not have a time for when my car would be available. My car was supposed to be done by noon. If I have a 7am appt there is no reason why my car should take over 5 hours for the service.

Regrettably, the dealership was unwilling to honor a quote it previously provided me through the American Automobile Association (AAA) car buying program. I was partial to Westbrook because I was treated so well. Although I was not disappointed with Saco. I will never go to any dealer other the Bill Dodge going forward. The sales rep I dealt with recently was Eric Michelson. He was very pleasant and professional. I had concerns about the car I was interested in and he made sure that that every last detail was brought up to my expectations. While I am happy with the car that I purchased from Bill Dodge’s PreOwned Super Center in Westbrook, I had a bad customer experience. George, the client advisor I was paired with snapped at me several times and cut me off in a way that was disrespectful, gendered and inappropriate (from when I asked for paperwork documenting work that had been done on the car that I was considering to when I expressed my frustration at the confusing communication I was receiving.) After that, I was relieved to interact with Sales Manager Tori who was professional and courteous. Unfortunately, this misogynist behavior seems to be part of the greater office culture; When I was in the waiting room to sign final paperwork, I heard another salesman say across the showroom, “Your girl’s here” (I’m a professional in my mid 30s) - shortly after a white male presenting client of the same age walks in and “Your customer is here” is called across the showroom. Language matters. Creating a space where customers feel safe and respected matters. I cannot in good faith recommend the Bill Dodge PreOwned Super Center especially if you identify as a woman, BIPOC, LGBTQIA, etc.

When I made my appointment and had questions answered over the phone, the answers were totally different once I got there. I was quoted a price for services. While they had my vehicle they discovered I needed a couple of filters. After calling me and getting my approval for this with the new price which I believe to be my new quoted total price. When I went to pick the vehicle up, that was not the case and my bill was much much higher than I was anticipating. When I explained how I felt about the bill it did not matter at all. Very disappointed in my experience and this is not my first bad experience with the Westbrook location.

We were able to ask questions and complete some of the paperwork securely online, so that all we had to do was test drive and sign paperwork when we showed up for a pre-arranged appointment. They compared finance rates with multiple companies and worked with a local credit union to match the best one for us, which was awesome. While the goal is obviously to sell vehicles, we didn’t feel like they were being pushy or dishonest. Everyone was friendly and they made the process fairly quick and straightforward.
